Be a Thermostat, Not a Thermometer!

How I pushed myself to do something I didn’t really think was possible and what happened afterward. A thermostat sets the temperature in the room. A thermometer can only read the temperature in a room. So, to be a thermostat means you are setting the mood, the pace, the limit. A thermometer would just give the reading or make an observation. It can’t control anything.
I ran a 10K and thought I was going to die the rest of the day. Two days later I ran a couple of miles and it was easier than it had ever been. I ran faster and longer than before. I had pushed my body further that it had ever gone, but then it became the new “norm.” Get out there and push yourself further than you ever have…watch what happens!
